Create Temporary Email Easily and Quickly with Tempomail

Nowadays, every site that provides a service requires you to confirm your email address. You cannot just go around trusting all these sites with your email address as you are bound to get a lot of SPAM emails. The best way to solve this problem is to get yourself a temporary email address. With a temporary email address, you can easily create an email address and use it to sign up with a certain site and the email address will automatically expire after a certain period. This is a very effective way to cut down spam in your real email address. Although this method may be effective, it is time consuming. You need to first go to a temporary email site and create an id and then use it as you like although you will need to stay logged in at your temporary email address to receive and confirm signups. This can waste your precious time dearly if you sign up to new sites regularly.

Now I created this article to show you how to apply this method quickly and easily. Tempomail is a firefox addon which enables you to quickly make a temporary email address which redirects emails to your real email address and you can set how long before your temp email expires. You will get a temporary email ending with “@tempomail.fr”. The best part is that your temp email address will be created with just a couple of clicks! Here are the steps in using this firefox addon:

Firstly, install tempomail addon from here.
Go to the site that you want to sign up on and open up the registration page.
Right click on the email address box and select tempomail from the list. You will then be asked for your real email address and the time before your email expires. Once you click ok, a temporary email will be put into the email address field.
Once you have signed up, you will be asked to confirm your email address.
Just go to your real email address that you gave and your confirmation email will be there.

You will no longer receive emails once your temp email address expires. You have an option to let your temp email expire in either 4 hours, 1 day, 1 week, or 1 month. Here are a couple of screenshots to illustrate what I mentioned in the steps above(click to see full sized image).

Private Browsing Mode in Firefox 3.0

The developers of Mozilla Firefox are working hard to bringing out the 3.1 version of Firefox. One of the new most awaited features that 3.1 brings is the Private Browsing mode, which is essentially the Incognito mode of Google Chrome and InPrivate of Internet Explorer 8. With private browsing, nothing will be saved on to your computer when you surf the net. This means no history in your browser, no cookies, no traces at all. Now, this is all good, but Firefox 3.1 is not scheduled to be released anytime before February(Beta 3 of Firefox 3.1 is scheduled to be released in February). However, a recently new Firefox extension called Private Browsing allows you to enjoy this feature in Firefox 3.0.
