Blogging Statistics for November

November was another good month for technodorm in which good growth was seen in traffic. I had planned to post more actively in the month of november but I could not manage more then 2 posts. The reason behind my lack of posting was that one of my anime sites really just rocketed up in terms of traffic and I had to manage stuff there. Anyways, I have already written two posts in this month of december, and will try to post more often but I will be away from the comp for next week due to EID. Now lets get to the stats for last month.

Traffic Stats:

As you can see from the graph of visits, there were a couple of days when traffic just died off. This was due to problems with my hosting and the site was down from 9th November to 13th November and also on 17th November. So these stats only reflect on 25 of the 30 days of the month of november.

Earnings:

Google Adsense: $140
Infolinks: Around $15 (only for 9 days)
Kontera: Around $10 (only for 10 days)

Google Adsense capitalized on the increase in search engine traffic. I had used kontera from the 1st of november to 10th november and it did not bring in much $$$. I then, was going to place infolinks back on but totally forgot until the 21st of the month. Infolinks brings in marginally better $$$ then kontera. Although I have not optimized the link colour for infolinks, I intend to try out different combinations of colours to see which brings in the most clicks.

So thats my stats for last month. I plan to post at least 10-15 posts this month and to move to my new theme which is almost 70% done. Am just making the logo and touching up on the coding now. I will also be releasing a free wordpress theme by the end of this month as I will have holidays from school and will have enough free time. Do watch out for it!

Blogging Statistics for October

October was a good month for technodorm. Not only was the traffic one of the highest in recent months but traffic from search engines got a good boost over previous months. I had been busy with my SATs so I could hardly manage to post during the month of october. I am now free from exams until next june so I can finally get back to some consistent blogging.

I will also be making a custome theme for technodorm this month(this week actually). I have experience in making wordpress themes as I had launched 3 other sites during this summer break. I also plan to release a couple of free wordpress themes before the end of this month.

Stats for Traffic:

Most of my traffic this month was from search engines so that is a much welcomed change. Search Engine traffic converts much better then traffic from social bookmarking sites like stumbleupon, digg, reddit.

Also, from the above screenshot you can see that my search engine traffic increased at a steady rate for the whole month. This indicates a nice growth rate which can be given an even greater boost once I start to be consistent in my blogging. My Alexa Rank has also improved over the past month. It now stands at 87,183 at the time of writing this post.

I also started monetizing the site with in-text ads from Infolinks. I have tried them for a week and will be giving Kontera a try as well to see which one performs better.

Check Pagerank of all Internal Pages on your Site

All of you probably know about the recent google pagerank update that happened last month. Technodorm’s pagerank did not change. However, recently I got to know of a tool that lets you see the pagerank of all pages on your site. I tried it with this site and found out that some of the posts are of pagerank 3! A total of 7 posts, 6 categories, and 3 other pages have pagerank 3 now.I was really surprised since the posts didn’t even get many visitors but they somehow got a pagerank of 3. I am hoping to get more good news like this in the next google pagerank update as well.

Now coming back to the topic, the tool is called Visual Pagerank from iWebtool. It lets you see the google pagerank of every link on a particular page. And if you compile a list of links to all pages on your site then you can easily view the pagerank of all pages on your entire site. The screenshot below shows you how this tool works.

This tool will do the job for you just fine. There are other programs as well that are able to show you the pagerank but they don’t seem to be working at the time of writing this post. But if you want to give them a try they are LivePR and Check SEO. LivePR is able to detect the pages but it shows a PR10 for all the pages. While on the other hand, Check SEO just refreshes its page. LivePR was working about a month ago though so it may begin to work in a couple of days or so.

Pagerank or RealRank?

While I was reading other blogs today, I stumbled across a nice article on Sizlopedia. As you may all remember the not-so-far past when google penalized most of the blogs that were selling links through TextLinkAds and other link selling sites. They were penalized because acts of link selling and buying were deemed to manipulate the Google Pagerank technology. Many blogs immediately halted their practice of link selling and buying in order to avoid their site being damaged too much in pagerank and in search rankings.

There is however a new alternative ranking system that has been made to counter the growth of Pagerank. It is called RealRank/IzeaRanks. Its aimed to be a ranking system for blogs and has been made to devalue pagerank in the future.

I have joined IzeaRanks but nobody can really tell right now if it will be successful or not but lets see how this ranking system goes. While it may pose some value in the future, I still doubt that it will be able to work at par with Google Pagerank. Anyways, lets see what happens.

This is the first I’ve heard of such a thing, but I really like the idea. I think google has a little too much power at the moment as far as dictating how SEO works in general, and a legitimate competitor to PageRank could lead to some interesting results. I’m curious to see if this will pick up any steam.

Blogger Spelling Test

My spelling and grammar has always been good since I am a keen writer of essays, reports, and reviews.

Pro Blogger Test

I was really surprised by this result. Although I have just started blogging only 2 months ago, I got a good grade. Thats because the questions are not all related to blogging and since I have been a heavy net surfer for the past few years, I could answer most of the questions. But this will ultimately be better as per your experience in the blogging and internet field.

Cash Reward on your blog?

I am not really sure on what base this cash reward is calculated. But anyways, $1400 is good enough.

Blog Statistics for December 2007

Hi all. The site is finally fixed and everything is back to normal. The hosting issues and the wordpress issues are finally over and I am pretty sure that they will not arise again. So now I can finally pay full attention to blogging. So from now on you can expect a new blog post every 2 days or even lesser. For now, I am posting the stats of this blog for the month of december. I will be doing this type of a post at start of every month because I myself like to see stats for other blogs. Now lets start.

Final Words

Although I got most of my traffic from stumbleupon, the stats are still good. As these stats are only for the second month of Technodorm, they are rather impressive. As you may know, I only started blogging in November and December was the first full month for me but that too was hampered with wordpress and hosting issues. The site was offline from december 1st to 5th and from 23rd to 4th january due to these issues. Hopefully I will be able to fully concentrate on blogging for the month of january. My goals for the month of January are to generate the same amount of traffic and to improve my results on search engines but that wont be easy for a new blog like mine. I hope you liked the stats.
