Yeah..I’ve got exactly the same spec like yours Geforce GT8500 1gb ddr2 and 3gb ram ddr2 except i’ve got dual core 1.6 ghz cpu but still i should have all the things that is needed to run this game smoothly in lower settings..but instead its lagg even after i overclocked a bit my Graphic card,some tweaking and lower the graphic setting..

what you need is high end prosecor and atleast 4gm ram.

hey guys, im gonna buy a gaming laptop with either this cpu: Intel Core i7 720QM 1.6GHz
or this cpu: Intel Core i7 820QM 1.73GHz.
the laptop has a 280 gtxm gpu/graphics card,
so my question is:
Will the i7 820qm cpu be a significant improvement over i7 720 qm cpu considering games such as arma 2, im asking cuz i have heard that arma 2 utilizes the cpu more than most games do.
btw the 820 qm cpu costs 200$ more than the 720 qm cpu.

This is because, the game is badly optimised, and had major issuses with hardware. Your processor is just good enough on the boarder line. However 9400 is not powerful enough by an stretch. 9500GT again is too slow due to the shader clock being on the slow side. For this game to run around 30fps on mid/high graphics you need a 9600GT or up at least.

get 8800 or 9800, stick to nvidia, it’s better, here’s a advice, people think that having a 8400 is enough cause it is apparently better than a 7800, don’t let numbers fool you, cause what does the job is the chip in the VGA, and the 7800, 8800, 9800, have same chip, that’s why some times having a 9400 won’t run games that “strangely” an 8800 does. good luck
