So I did try the first method you described…

All the videos I downloaded ply beautifully on both VLC media player and Windows Media Player, with one major problem. The progress bar in both these players gets frozen. I can’t rewind or fast forward. Is this generally the case with these downloaded files? Is there a fix?

Real Player Works fine and downloads any streaming video, It’s free and you can download megavideo videos youtube videos ect.

Okay, so I downloaded DH, and when I paste the link to the video on megavideo that I want to DL, the icon does not animate and cannot download the video.

You might wanna try this thing I made: sourceforge.net/projects/idmms/
If you ever download movies with IDM too.

If you play it on MV while downloading in IDM, it will use up twice your bandwidth,
With this you can click download, close the MV window, then click the video in my app and it will stream it.

I beg to differ. I have downloaded full movies from megavideo using IDM with no problem. You must be doing something wrong……

idm thing and all other ways dont work if the video at the megaupload site is big like a one big movie and idm fails so there is no point in trying for large videos(movies)

I just wanted to say that I use DownloadHelper on Firefox. It worked great when I first started using it with MegaVideo, but now I think they have caught on and have done something to their links. Once I start the download I close the window with the video playing as this is supposed to stop the video so your time limit is not supposed to be affected. But recently, it’s changed and it comes up saying I have reached my limit and have to wait the required time. Just letting ppl know the issues I’ve had.

… wow…. it must be worked for some…. but it doesn’t work… using downloadhelper ,I download it and download as Flashgot.. then it suddenly stop like saying error on IDM…. then I try to download direct by using Method three… guess what…? the same thing…. BAM error message comes out from IDM…it’s loaded at 40 -60% though….. it’s stop there…:(
