Wordpress 2.6 Released, Download Now!

Wordpress 2.6

Well, we were expecting Wordpress 2.6 anyday after Monday and today it has been officially released. This new version brings in a ton of new features and security updates. One of the new features is going to be Posts Revision, which will save a history of edits made to each post. So if you accidentally erase a paragraph from your post while editing, no worries, you can easily revert back to the older version! It will also be able to store a history of who changed what and when, just like on wikipedia articles! I think this will be a fantastic addition as it will certainly be needed by many bloggers at one time or another.

Wordpress 2.6 will also have support for Google Gears. Below is a list of new features in this release:

While reading other technology blogs today, I stumbled across a nice post on TechPavan. It tells us how to convert any image into ASCII Code easily using asciiconvert.com, an online tool. This tool can come in very handy for users that use facebook, orkut, etc. You can use these ASCII codes to send in a message to your friends.
