So if you know please leave a comment, so I could edit this and give the readers the info. I am also very interested in knowing the background of this picture.

Anyways, now on to the picture. It has many of the leading figures and most well known people of the 19th and 20th century. I was only able to identify a few of them but my friend emailed with the answers.

Search all Major Video Hosts with just one site!

November 25th, 2007

Hey, I had been busy lately so I couldn’t post much. I am thinking about purchasing a domain for the site but I haven’t been able to really find the right domain name. So if you have an idea for a possible domain name then please do inform me by leaving a comment here or emailing me at fahadtariq(at)gmail.com. But do check on www.checkdomain.com to see if its available. Anyways lets get on with this post.

Well today, I wanted to recommend you guys to a nice site that allows you to search through all of the major video hosts for a particular video file. This site uses google operators to return the results but believe me that is good enough. It comes back with good results and that is why I would recommend it. If you have any comments or questions, do post a comment here. Ciao!

Gun-Shaped Computer Mouse!

November 24th, 2007

Well, I found this picture when stumbling. I thought it was cool so I decided to put it up here as well. Its basically a mouse shaped in a gun. A design engineer from Solware to come up with a gun-shaped computer mouse – labeled to be the first of its kind in the world. This mouse is a perfect replica of the Sig P230, where the trigger functions as the left mouse button while the right mouse button is located where your middle finger rests.

It would be interesting to use this mouse sometimes, but unfortunately this mouse is now discontinued. » Read more: Gun-Shaped Computer Mouse!

Hide or Password Protect your files and folders

November 18th, 2007

Today, I will be posting on a nice little utility program that will more then likely interest most of you. The ability to hide or password protect a file or folder is something not found in the windows default features. But it is one of the more useful feature which many people will want to have. This is a proper application that hides the folders, not just have a blank file name(using ALT+0160 trick) with no icon and making it invisible but accessible :) . That trick is easily foiled if you refresh the folder, that hidden file or folder will become visible for a millisecond or two and will be noticed by the user. But with this piece of software you wont need to use that trick anymore! :-)

Hide Files and Folders is a great easy-to-use password-protected security utility working at Windows kernel level that you can use to password-protect certain files and folders, or to hide them securely from viewing and searching just with a click of mouse. Upon accessing any protected file or folder, a dialog box querying password appears on the screen. If a valid password is entered, the user gets access to the file or folder, otherwise an error message appears. Hide Files and Folders does not modify your media: in protecting your files or folders, it just uses a high-reliability VXD driver working at Windows kernel level. This guarantees that Hide Files and Folders will never lose your data, as may happen if you use other file and folder protecting software. Due to unique technology, the program also lets you protect system files and folders such as the Windows System, Registry and Swap files. Go ahead! Download the program right now! You will find it very easy to use.

(Click the Picture for the full-sized user interface screenshot)

This program is not only able to hide any specified file, but it is also able to password-protect it, or make it read-only so that it is not editable. So you can select whichever method of protection you desire of. So download this program now. You can download this program by clicking here! Enjoy the application, and post here if you have any questions or comments.

Cheers.

Search for files on Rapidshare and Megaupload

November 14th, 2007

Rapidshare and Megaupload are the undoubtedly the two largest file hosting providers on the net. Rapidshare is renowned for its excellent and fast servers whereas megaupload has a larger quantity of users and files. Either way, both of these sites have their own loyal supporters and criticizers alike.

But one thing that neither of these companies allow is a search for files on their huge database. And you cant use their services unless you have the link for an uploaded file. But now, thanks to some webmasters we are able to search the database. All you gotta do is enter a keyword for the filename of a file, and voila! the matching filenames of the files stored on their servers are listed.

Here are a list of the top six sites that I have used. There are others but they are not as good as the ones that I have listed. Have fun with these, and be sure to try all of them as some might have a certain file which the others might not have and vice versa. And don’t forget to bookmark this page for future references!

1. Filecrop.com
2. Hellafiles.com
3. Filesbot.com
4. Rapidsharelink.com
5. Megadownload.net
6. Filez.com
7. Rapidlibrary.com (added upon user suggestion in comments)

Have fun and enjoy! :-)

I visited the site you mentioned. Its good, but nothing that filez.com cant handle. All files that I saw on this site were available on filez.com plus more. But its good as well. Thanks for pointing it out.

you forget about another rapidshare search enginehttp://rapidlibrary.com

it’s new, but this guys have their own crawler, 600.000 files database, fast and relevant search results…

and mostly of your top 15 (except filez.com) use google feed and send you to the page where you have to look for rapidshare links.

filez.com and rapidlibrary.com shows you direct link to the file you are interested in. and it’s so good.
